The RMED unit implements research activities in the areas of basic education and explores new areas of interventions. It also puts special emphasis an the attainment of literacy skills, functions and performance of literacy centers, motivation of literacy personnel to come forward with innovative ideas in the field of education. This unit maintains a database on literacy and education which is appropriately disseminated among the stakeholders. It has two components namely Research, Monitoring, Evaluation and Documentation.
 

The major activities of this unit are:

• Facilitating policy research such as Education Watch.
   
• Documentation and dissemination of information and experience on innovative NGO education programs.
   
• Maintaining a Literacy Resource Centre.
   
• Maintaining a database on literacy.
   
• Publishing relevant documents and materials.
   
• Organizing and participating in different fairs and rallies on literacy.
   
• Sales and distribution of CAMPE publications.
