‘Parua’ is a monthly publication (in Bangla) for the neo-literate adults. It first appeared in October 1992. The magazine contains short story, rhyme, poem, case study and writings of the neo-literates and articles on literacy, health, environment, agriculture, legal literacy and technology. The objective of publishing the magazine is to help the neo-literates to use the attained literacy skill with confidence in particular, and to develop their reading habit, in general. It is used as a continuing education material. Many NGOs with continuing education programs are regular clients of this magazine.
