A national workshop was held on 24 November 2004 where the representatives from CSOs, sectoral networks, development partners, media, relevant Government agencies attended. A MDG Steering Group was formed to carry ahead the movement. “People's Forum on MDGs (PFM)” comprising of sectoral networks, CSOs and concerned individuals was formed and in a Planning Workshop held on 17th March 2005 in Dhaka.

National Secretariat of PFM: Campaign for Popular Education (CAMPE) a network of more than 700 NGOs working in the basic education sub-sector in Bangladesh is the national Secretariat of PFM.
