Core Competencies of CAMPE

CAMPE’s credibility and achievement is to a great extent due to its professional and persistent approach to the issues that relate to access to quality basic education. CAMPE has also identified the following core competencies:

  • CAMPE Council or Board (policy making body) is committed and represents a dynamic and professional group
  • strong network with linkage from grassroots level to international community
  • ownership of supporter and stakeholders including members, Teacher’s Union/Associations, and CBOs among others
  • has the ability to handle a large and diverse groups
  • has established its position at national, regional and international for as an organization committed to education
  • has ability to influence policies related to education
  • carries with it a wealth of experience and institutional knowledge
  • has ability to contribute towards capacity building of partner/member organizations
  • maintains strong linkages with media and other communication agencies
  • have acquired expertise in result based advocacy
  • produces objective and evidence based research reports
  • has the ability to integrate education programs with other development interventions leading towards poverty alleviation
